Function, intuition and challenging the norms of materials is the approach and process of the leather lamp – trying to create something new and interesting with a comfortable light. The shells can be made in different materials, changing the way the light is experienced and how it will be reflected. The light is designed so the light source does not glare directly into your eyes, but it reflects on the shells and makes a directly down light at the table.
The lamp is made in leather, paper and wood veneer for a sustainability contest FSC Design Award 2016.
